Knowing platform photo standards is essential for getting listings approved, outperforming competitors and increasing add-to-cart rates. In 2026, Turkey's two biggest marketplaces — Trendyol and Hepsiburada — updated their visual quality controls. Automated rejection algorithms now analyse background colour, resolution and crop ratio in milliseconds.

Trendyol Photo Requirements 2026

Trendyol mandates a 1:1 square format for the main product image (minimum 1000×1000 px, recommended 2000×2000 px). Background must be pure white (#FFFFFF) — grey or off-white triggers rejection. The product must fill at least 85% of the image and sit fully within the frame. No watermarks, logos or text permitted. Additional images may include model shots, detail close-ups and lifestyle; but the first image must always be white background. JPEG or PNG accepted; max file size 10 MB.

Hepsiburada Photo Requirements 2026

Hepsiburada also requires 1:1 square format; minimum 800×800 px, ideal 1500×1500 px. Background must be white (#FFFFFF), though the platform tolerates light grey backgrounds in some categories. Product must fill 80% of the image. Ghost mannequin images are recommended in technical apparel categories. Hepsiburada additionally supports 16:9 format supplementary images as video thumbnails — a useful space for product demo video cover frames.

Amazon Turkey and Other Platforms

Amazon Turkey applies Amazon global standards — pure white background (RGB 255,255,255), product filling 85% of the image, minimum 1000px on the long edge. N11 and GittiGidiyor adopt similar standards. The universal rule across all platforms: main image white background, additional images free format. The most efficient workflow is therefore to shoot white background first for every product, then plan lifestyle additions.
