Why Are Prices So Variable?
Being told a production quote can range from ₺75,000 to ₺600,000 might feel confusing — but the range is real. The factors that create the difference include number of shoot days, location complexity, crew size (director, DOP, sound, lighting, art direction), use of professional actors or models, drone footage, animation, and music licensing.
Film length alone does not determine price. A two-minute CEO interview and a two-minute factory tour are both two minutes long — but the latter can cost three to four times more to produce.
2026 Package Pricing Table
Essential Package — ₺75,000 – ₺120,000
1 shoot day, 1–2 minute final film. Single location — studio or office. Minimal crew: director, camera operator, lighting. No drone, no actors. Editing + colour grading + subtitles included. Audio: sync sound or basic voice-over (VO priced separately).
Best for: SMEs, new brands, social media-focused corporate content.
Standard Package — ₺150,000 – ₺280,000
2 shoot days, 3–5 minute final film. Two locations, drone footage, b-roll montage. Mid-size crew: director, DOP, gaffer + assistant, sound engineer. Editing, colour grading, motion graphics. 2–3 social media adaptations included.
Best for: Mid-size companies, investor presentations, trade fair materials, website hero video.
Premium Package — ₺300,000 – ₺600,000
3+ shoot days, multiple locations (may include travel outside Istanbul), professional actors or brand ambassadors. Full production crew: art director, wardrobe, make-up, catering. Cinematic colour grade, full motion graphics or 2D animation integration, professional voice-over, original music production. Broadcast-quality master files.
Best for: Large corporate brands, TV broadcast campaigns, international promotional content.
Post-Production Add-Ons
Items outside the base packages that are quoted separately:
- 2D/3D animation: From +₺30,000 (varies by complexity and duration)
- Voice-over (VO): +₺8,000 (professional studio recording, Turkish or English)
- Music licensing: +₺5,000 (stock library licence; original music composition priced separately)
- Subtitle translation (EN/DE/FR): +₺2,500 per language
- Express editing (72-hour turnaround): +30% on standard timeline rate
5 Critical Cost Drivers
- Location count and access: Venue rental fees, permits, equipment transport, and logistics can escalate quickly.
- Actors and models: Agency talent can range from ₺5,000–₺20,000 per day; usage fees are calculated separately.
- Drone: Legal permits, licensed pilot, and equipment add ₺15,000–₺25,000 per day.
- Animation and motion graphics: Infographics are standard in corporate videos — but animation is consistently the most unexpectedly budget-heavy item.
- Additional shoot days: Each extra day adds approximately ₺35,000–₺60,000 depending on crew size.
Hidden Costs and What to Watch For
What is a usage fee? If you use professional actors or models in your production, you may owe additional "usage rights" fees based on where and how long the content is shown. These fees are not always hidden — but in some contracts they appear only in the fine print. Especially for TV broadcast or outdoor advertising, insist this item is clearly defined before you sign.
VAT note: All prices shown are excluding VAT. The 20% VAT must be factored into your budget; not all production companies communicate this upfront.
Revision limits: Clarify how many revision rounds are included in your contract. Industry standard is 2 major revision rounds; additional rounds are typically billed at an hourly or flat rate.
From Brief to Delivery: A Typical Production Timeline
- Week 1–2: Brief meeting, concept development, storyboard approval
- Week 3: Location scouting, crew and equipment planning, casting (if required)
- Week 4: Shoot days
- Week 5–6: Rough cut delivery and approval
- Week 7–8: Final edit, colour grade, audio mix, graphics integration
- Week 8–9: Revision rounds and final sign-off
- Week 9–10: Master delivery and platform adaptations
Rush projects — ahead of a trade fair, investor meeting, or press launch — are possible, but compression of timeline increases cost.
