ChatGPT vs Claude — Which Writes Better Scripts?
ChatGPT (GPT-5): Fast brainstorming, headline variations, social copy, viral hook formulation. Wide pop-culture range, trend-led writing.
Claude (Sonnet 4.5): More literary, stronger brand-voice consistency, long-form scripts, character dialogue, brand origin storytelling. Better at deadpan tone and humour.
Practical combo: Run the brief through Claude for strategic narrative → feed that output into ChatGPT for 15 social post variations.
1. Brief to Single-Sentence Concept
First, compress the brief into a 1-2 sentence creative concept. The prompt scaffold:
Brand: [X]
Product/Service: [Y]
Target: [demographics + psychographics]
Campaign goal: [awareness | conversion | loyalty]
Key message (3-5 words): [...]
Tone: [e.g. warm, playful, premium]
Generate 5 different one-sentence creative concepts from this brief. Each from a different emotion / angle.
2. Concept to Script — Three-Act Structure
When writing a 30-second commercial, ask for the three-act structure: Open (0-7s) → Build/Conflict (7-22s) → Resolve + CTA (22-30s).
Ask Claude for: Scene | Visual description | Dialogue/VO | Duration | Notes. This format pours directly into a storyboard.
3. Bridge to Storyboard — AI Image Generation
The visual description column feeds straight into AI image tools (Midjourney, Flux, ImageFX). Typical prompt formula:
[style] photograph of [subject] [action] in [setting], [lighting], [mood], [camera lens look], cinematic composition
Example: "Cinematic photograph of a young father playing football with his daughter in an Istanbul park at golden hour, soft natural light, warm mood, 50mm lens shallow depth of field, family moment composition".
4. Multi-Variant — Testing and Optimization
AI's real value isn't one perfect script, it's 10 different variants. Use that to:
- Render the same concept in different tones (warm, playful, premium, informative)
- Test different hooks (question, stat, story, warning) on the same script
- Adapt the same scene to 3 durations (6s, 15s, 30s) for social/TVC formats
- Log variants for A/B testing on social
5. Brand Voice Consistency
Feed Claude/ChatGPT a brand voice document per brand: tone, word preferences, banned phrases, comparable brands. Without this document, AI output goes generic.
Practical: Paste 5 ad copy examples published by the brand in the last 12 months, ask the AI to extract the shared tone-of-voice, then write the new script in that voice.
AI's Limits — What It Can't Do
1. Cultural nuance: Local idioms, humour, references still need a human creative director.
2. Legal review: Health, finance, cosmetics — regulated categories — still require human compliance.
3. Brand strategy: AI can write a concept; whether that concept is the right positioning still needs a human creative lead.
PAM Istanbul's AI + Human Loop
At PAM AI Studio our scripting flow runs: creative director interprets the brief, AI generates 10-15 variants, copywriter polishes the strongest 2-3 directions, production moves the chosen one into storyboard and shoot. The loop compresses brief-to-pitch from days to hours.
