AI Video Ad Scripts: Brand Examples and Templates

The most common mistake we see with AI video ad scripts: "ChatGPT, write me a 30-second ad." The output reads like a cliché. Used well, the same tool can produce ten brand-voice variations. The difference is in the prompt structure. Here are four templates we use at PAM Istanbul.

AI Video Ad Scripts: Brand Examples and Templates

What AI-written scripts do well, and what they don't

What AI does well is clear: produce many alternatives fast. Test one hook idea from 15 angles, rewrite the same script in three tones, end the last line with eight different closes. A copywriter used to spend a day on this. With AI, half an hour and you have it on the table. For a creative team, that means idea volume.

What AI does not do well is also clear: find the insight on its own. The real reason a customer buys, the cultural moment, the category irony — AI does not write those. It only pretends to. So AI gets hired at the last stage. The human writes the brief and the insight, AI produces variations, the human picks. Teams that reverse this order ship average work.

Three-act structure: 6, 15, 30 seconds

Six seconds. One message, one visual, one action. Designed for YouTube bumpers or Reels pre-rolls. The structure: second one is an arresting visual, second two is the brand, second three is the benefit, the last three are CTA. Storytelling in this length usually fails.

Fifteen seconds. Problem-solution structure. The first three seconds are the hook, four to nine are the problem, ten to thirteen are the solution and the brand, the last two are CTA. The sweet spot for TikTok and Instagram. Algorithms reward sub-15-second pieces and viewers rarely watch past 15.

Thirty seconds. Classic TV and YouTube format. Setup, conflict, resolution, CTA. This length is where AI helps script writing most because the rhythmic demands of a 30-second flow line up with math the model handles well.

The first three seconds: five hook formulas

The only reason a viewer does not swipe past is the first three seconds. Five patterns that work in practice:

Four copy-ready brand templates

Paste the templates below into ChatGPT or Claude, swap the square brackets. All four are distilled from real briefs.

FMCG (beverage / snack):

You are a senior copywriter for FMCG. Write 5 variations of a 15-second video ad script for [BRAND NAME, PRODUCT TYPE]. Target audience: [AGE, GENDER, LIFESTYLE]. Core insight: [WHAT THE CONSUMER ACTUALLY WANTS]. Tone: playful, fast-paced, optimistic. Format: timestamped [0-3s hook] [4-9s problem] [10-13s product reveal] [14-15s CTA]. Avoid: rhyming, slogans ending in dots, generic "made for you" lines. Output: 5 scripts, each with a one-line note on which audience segment it targets.

Cosmetics (skincare / makeup):

You are a beauty copywriter. Write 3 variations of a 30-second video ad script for [BRAND, PRODUCT]. Audience: [AGE], [SKIN CONCERN]. Insight: [WHAT FRUSTRATES THEM ABOUT CURRENT ROUTINES]. Tone: intimate, confident, no over-promise. Structure: [0-3s pattern interrupt] [4-12s problem with concrete moment] [13-22s product mechanism in plain language] [23-28s before-after emotional payoff] [29-30s CTA]. Avoid: "transform", "revolutionary", "game-changer", any word a chemist would not say. Each script must reference one observable behavior the consumer does daily.

Fintech:

You are a fintech copywriter who avoids tech jargon. Write 4 variations of a 15-second video ad script for [APP NAME], target [SMB OWNER / FREELANCER / STUDENT]. Insight: [WHAT FINANCIAL ANXIETY THEY SOLVE]. Tone: calm, specific, evidence-based. Structure: [0-3s relatable money moment] [4-9s the friction] [10-13s how the app removes it in one tap] [14-15s CTA]. Constraints: no abstract benefits, every line must reference a concrete action (open app, see balance, send money). Include one micro-detail in each script (e.g. exact time saved, exact tap count).

E-commerce (fashion / accessory):

You are an e-commerce copywriter. Write 6 variations of a 6-second video ad script for [BRAND, PRODUCT]. Goal: drive click to PDP. Audience: [DEMO + INTEREST]. Tone: confident, on-trend, conversational. Format: [1s visual hook] [2s brand stamp] [3-4s product benefit in 1 sentence] [5-6s CTA "Shop now" alternative]. Avoid: "limited time", "click below", "don't miss out". Each script must end with a different CTA verb. Output as a table: hook description, full voice-over, CTA used.

ChatGPT or Claude — which tone fits which?

We use both daily and the gap is clear. ChatGPT (GPT-5) is sharper on fast sales language, short hooks, FMCG tone. It writes pop-y lines more easily. Claude (Opus 4.7) leans into editorial, narrative tone and pulls ahead on luxury or service brands. Running the same brief through both has become a habit for us. Five variations from ChatGPT, five from Claude, then we look at which side hooks harder.

Single-model dependency traps a creative team in a single tone. Running two models in parallel is a small effort and a large variation gain.

Holding brand voice while moving fast

The sneakiest trap with AI: a week later your ads start to sound like the rest of the category. The fix is one sentence — paste a "brand voice card" at the top of every prompt. A 15 to 20 line spec of the brand: what it says, what it does not, which words it uses, which it never uses, sentence shapes it likes, the pronoun it picks for the audience. The card goes in first, the actual request goes in second.

A practical note: write the voice card with AI, but do not let AI write it. Use the actual brand owner's words (CMO, brand lead). AI only structures those words. The output sounds much more authentic.

Script to storyboard — how we work at PAM Istanbul

Once a script is approved the flow should not break. We turn the approved script into storyboard prompts on the spot: a Midjourney or Gemini image for each scene, a five to ten second Runway or Kling prompt for motion shots. The jump from script language to image language now happens in a single sitting with AI.

If you want to set up this bridge with your creative team, in a 30-minute discovery call we can sketch your brand-specific script-to-storyboard flow together. We write the brand card, translate the four templates into your voice, and test the first three variations side by side.

Let's build this together.

Whether it's a single ad film or a seasonal content partnership, we bring the team that works with Cartier, Mercedes-Benz, Nike and Pierre Cardin. From script to storyboard, shoot to post, the same discipline.
